⑧鼻血については、放射線関連を疑う人も、数Svの急性被曝と発症機序が同じとは言っていません。限られた時間と人間で何もかもが分かるわけではありません。疑いを持つのは科学の基本です。医学においては、仮説が重要で、放射能原因説を唱えることに何の問題もないのです。

⑨重要なのは情報収集と解析。反論するだけならともかく、「あれも放射能これも放射能」と非難する態度は、自らも情報収集をしないことを宣言しているわけですし、結果的に情報収集や議論そのものを否定させていく作用がある点で極めて有害なものです。

⑩しかも、限定された既知の情報、知識を生かして、患者住民の訴えが未知のものであれば、予防原則の立場で最善を尽くすのが医学です。池田氏はこのことを知らないか、否定しているのです。

⑪因果関係を論じるときに、メカニズムが分からなければならないというのは誤りです。水俣病はそうやって隠されました。しかも、そういう人がメカニズムを解明する意志があるわけでなく、政府に何の行動も求めず、ただ揶揄し、罵倒し、否定していくのです。逆に言うと、調べずに結論を出しています。
